Today, I’m gonna give you a framework to create a daily routine that will keep you busy, focused, productive, away from your addictions, and most importantly, improve your life by 1% every day.

I call this the 3B framework.

This is the framework I used to create my daily routine.

It helped me build a good physique, reach 5k followers on Medium, and stay calm and cool always.

Here is how it works:

You need to fill your day with activities that improve your 3Bs.

3Bs?

What is it?

3Bs are:

1. Body.

2. Brain.

3. Bank Account.

These are the 3Bs your daily routine should keep improving day after day.

So, when it comes to Body:

It’s simple.

Workout
Eat healthy

When it comes to Brain:

Read books
Meditate
Journal

When it comes to Bank accounts:

Learn a high-value skill
Create content online
Build digital products
Do side hustles

These are the activities that should be present in your routine.

To make you understand this better.

Here is my daily routine:

Wake up → Water → Washroom → Workout
Write an article
Learn a high-value skill (copywriting)
Lunch (no junk, only healthy food)
Brainstorm ideas for articles.
Repurpose articles into social posts
Go for walks
Journal
Sleep

As you can see, the activities in my daily routines hits all three B’s (Body, Brain, Bank Account).

That’s how your routine should be.

I know what you’re thinking.

“But, I got college.”

“I got a job.”

You can still include at least 1 activity for each of the 3Bs in your routine.

Start waking up early.

Use your early morning and late evening to improve yourself. (To escape your 9-to-5, you need to start using your 5-to-9s).

So, stop making excuses.

Also, when I say you need to have 3Bs in your daily routine.

Don’t think you need to work out for 2 hours, read a whole book, and write 3000 words every day.

It doesn’t have to be big.

Just set small, easily-doable tasks. Your focus should be to stay consistent and make those activities a daily habit. Because we are only trying to improve 1% every day.

Your daily tasks can be as simple as…

Reading 2 pages
Meditating for 5 minutes.
Write 200 words.

When the tasks are simple to do, staying consistent becomes a lot easier.

The trick I use to build habits is…

Taking challenges.

Believe me, it works.

If you want to build a reading habit, take a 30-day challenge.

Read 10 pages a day for 30 days.

You can do this for any habit that you want to cultivate…

Run for 10 minutes every day for 30 days.
Write 1 article every day for 30 days.
Do 50 push-ups every day for 30 days.
etc…

I cultivated all the good habits I have by taking challenges.

For example, I was struggling to build a consistent writing habit.

So, I decided to take a 30-day challenge and successfully completed it.

After completing the challenge, it became easy for me to stay consistent.

Now, writing is a habit for me. I do it every day like I brush my teeth.

I did the same with going to the gym.

I decided to run on the treadmill for 10 minutes every day for 30 days.

And I did it.

Now, running has become a habit.

Consistency is the key to building habits.

Starting small and taking challenges are some best ways to stay consistent.

One more important thing:

When taking challenges, you should be very clear about when and where you will act.

For example:

For my 30-day writing challenge. I decided to write every day at 5 PM in my apartment library.

Clearly defining the time and place is important when it comes to building habits.

IT’S TIME TO TAKE ACTION.

Start improving yourself by 1%…starting today.
