When I started to write online. I didn’t like it. It felt like work.

When I started to hit the gym every day. It was hard. I hated it.

When I started to read books. I was not able to focus. It was boring.

But now, writing is something I love to do. I never missed a single day of writing. Even on days when I don’t publish, I still write. I journal, work on YouTube scripts (stay tuned for my video (spoiler: it’s about addiction), braindump ideas, etc. Writing is part of my life now.

I feel bad if I skip the gym.

I work out at 5 AM. Sometimes, the cold weather and my cozy blanket will hold me tight in bed and make me wake up late.

Even then, I’ll hit the gym in the evening after coming from work. Because if I don’t, I’ll not be able to sleep.

You are not gonna believe this…

Reading is my only form of entertainment. I don’t scroll. I don’t watch movies much (maybe 2 movies a month), and I don’t gossip with anyone.

Reading is my only entertainment. Sometimes, audiobooks or podcasts.

When I’m on the bus, I read. When I am standing in a queue, I read. When I’m bored, I read.

What is the reason for this shift?

How did writing, working out, and reading become easy and fun for me?

Through Repetition.

There is something called neural pathways.

When you start doing something new for the first time, it will be extremely difficult because there is no neural pathway in your brain for that activity.

But if you push through the difficulty and do the thing, you start building the pathway.

Doing the activity will be difficult for at least 90 days.

Because at the start, the pathway is extremely weak.

But once the pathway gets stronger, doing the activity gets easier.

How to make it stronger?

That’s right.

Through repetition.

The more you do something, the easier it gets.

That’s what happened in my case.

Writing felt like work until I published 90 articles.

Going to the gym felt like work until I hit the gym for 90 days.

Reading felt like work until I read every day for 90 days.

What I’m trying to convey here is this…

Building good habits is difficult at first. But with repetition, it gets easy.

Imagine how much your life will improve if doing things like writing, working out, and reading is easy and fun for you.

You can reach that stage.

How?

That’s right.

Do it for 90 days.

Strengthen the neural pathways.

Make it easy.

Change your life.
